Let me get you up to speed

My life has been a little pulled and stretched these days.  All of those tugs are from good and enjoyable parts of my life, but tugs nonetheless.  Here’s a peak at some of the things that have kept me so busy these days.

  • Classes
  • Homework
  • Practicum
  • Work
  • Church volunteering
  • Babysitting
  • Driving in between

And the list goes on.  Four weeks into the semester and I find myself loosing steam.  My commitments and responsibilities are not receiving my full attention.  This is not fair to them or me.  After many days of thinking and praying about where God is calling me to be, I am find myself choosing to step away from work.  I need time to take a break, read a book, write a blog post, go for a long walk, or even dig into some craft projects.  My time left as a student is dwindling and its time to maximize the opportunities I have been given.

Please forgive my absence here on the blog.  Regular posts should be returning in about two weeks, give or take.  Get ready to get a glimpse of what my past month and a half have included.  In the meantime, here is a video that peaked my interest and proved well worth six minutes of watching.

p.s. Happy Birthday to my graceful and loving sister.  I love you Robyn.  Twenty two years and counting – may our adventures never end.  Today I celebrate you!

What a struggle it is to discern less when you are a “let me do everything I can” person by nature! You have found the truth that our strengths are also our weaknesses and are responding to that truth. The good news is that it will make you stronger. I am praying for a sense of peace in the chaos for you.
