I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart.

Where?

Down in my heart!

What a week!  It’s been six days since I last posted and joy seems to be multiplying in my life!!  Here’s a quick run down of what has been going on with me.

Friday: Headed to one of my favorite places, CANTON!  I shopped during the afternoon and found some neat treasures to work my magic on.  That evening, some of my closest friends from A&M drove up to Gun Barrel City.  We were ready for 24 hours of catching up, shopping, and laughter!  As for my favorite joy moment on Friday, it probably happened around 11 p.m. and involved lots of laughter!  (I’ll have a follow up blog about our entire weekend – it deserves an entire post!)

Saturday: I would say spending the day with all of the girls; however, this day had some momentous sights.  They involved a monkey in pants and a granny with a rifle.  Again, moments in Canton are one of a kind.

Sunday: The teens at church praying for one another by name.  This has been a huge prayer of mine.  I’ve been praying that the freshmen in my group feel comfortable enough to offer their intentions and pray for one another.  God’s been working in their hearts because this week three teens prayed out loud for others.  Awesome!

Monday: I interviewed for a summer practicum position at Dell Children’s Hospital….and….they offered me the position!!!  Talk about SUPER DUPER JOY!!!!!  I know very few details yet, but I will keep y’all up to date.

Tuesday: I went apartment searching and found my potential new apartment in Austin.  That’s right, I am considering moving (and most likely will.).  Rent in San Marcos is very very expensive.  I’m already driving to Austin 2 times a week and that will increase to 3-4 times this summer.  Austin has cheaper rent and is still close to San Marcos.  Fortunately, my summer classes are completely online and some of my fall classes may be as well.  I have to make a decision by the end of the month, but hopefully will make one sooner than that!

Wednesday: Going to other planets with a 2 and 3 year old.  Today when I babysat, Eli and Charlotte wanted to travel in space like we did last week.  We all loaded into the rocket ship, counted to blast off, and visited 3 planets.  First we went to Pluto, then Puppy Dog, and finished with Tie Dye.  Eli is one creative and imaginative kid!

Where is your joy today?
