For those of you wondering where-oh-where are my Christmas crafts and decorations, I have some explaining to do! Because I am moving everything in my apartment into storage before I go to South Carolina, I opted not to decorate for Christmas this year. Christmas is my favorite season of all and not having my tree and nativity up have made it rather difficult to get in the Christmas spirit. Lucky for us Texans, we finally got a cold blast of weather to make it feel like Christmas. I’ve heard from several friends about them using my tutorials from last year’s Christmas crafts. I thought I would highlight and remind you of a few things you can make. Each one is linked to my original posts with tutorials.
Make some jingle bell ornaments – SUPER easy!
Make a ruffle tree skirt – one of my ALL time favorites and something several friends and family members have made.
How about some ribbon garland? – perfect for tables and mantles.
Christmas canvases make great gifts!
More Christmas canvas ideas. Can you tell I was still on an Mo’s art retreat high and that my friends wanted to learn the “goo” method?
There’s always the festive and versatile burlap wreath – another favorite of mine.
Remember two years ago when I was stranded in Europe for Christmas? Here’s a short recap of those dear memories. I would go back in a heartbeat!!
If I had decorated for Christmas, it would probably have looked a lot like this minus the gray couch.
I helped a friend with one Christmas craft this year. More on that later this week. I’m surprised at how much I crafted last year. I really must have not been enjoying grad school. Hopefully you found some inspiration to get crafty!
‘Tis the season to be jolly.
