Thanksgiving Week in Pittsburgh – Day 3

Thursday morning started with the Turkey Trot.  We joined another 6000+ people for the run around Pittsburgh landmarks.  I ran the 5K while Robyn and my mom walked it.  It was my best 5K time yet, 32:26.  My new goal is to complete a 5K in under 30 minutes.

After I finished, I walked back to find them and we detoured for a downtown tour.  We found this cute robot repair window display set up just for Christmas.

Our goal in walking downtown was to find PPG Place.  It has a huge Christmas tree and ice skating rink.

Within PPG Place was a building with live Christmas trees and gingerbread houses made by kiddos.  This was the most homemade gingerbread houses I’ve ever seen in one place!

Before we went back to the Heinz Stadium parking lot, we admired the view over the Allegheny River.

Last up is goodbyes and lots of flowers.
